Prompt History
Learn how to navigate and manage your prompt history in Storytell.
Prompt History
Your Prompt History allows you to quickly revisit and reuse previous prompts within a thread. This feature helps streamline your workflow, making it easy to refine and iterate on past queries.
Navigating Through Prompt History
Open the Prompt Input Field
Click inside the prompt input field to activate prompt history navigation.
Use Arrow Keys to Browse Prompts
- Press the Up (
↑
) or Down (↓
) arrow keys to cycle through your previous prompts. - If your prompt is multi-line, pressing the Up (
↑
) or Down (↓
) key at the start or end of the text moves to the previous or next prompt in history. - Alternatively, use the Previous (
↩️
) and Next (↪️
) prompt buttons in the prompt input bar to navigate through your history.
Edit a Retrieved Prompt
Once a previous prompt is loaded, you can modify it directly in the input field.
Submit an Edited Prompt
Press Enter to submit the edited prompt as a new entry in your history.
Your prompt history persists within each thread, meaning you can access previous prompts as long as you remain in the same conversation.
To make navigation easier, you can also use the previous and next buttons located in the prompt input bar. These buttons function the same way as the arrow keys, allowing you to cycle through past prompts.
