Collection-Based Methods

Using the Chat Interface

Create conversations directly within your Collections through two methods:

Button Method

Navigate

Go to the desired Collection

Access Chats

Click on the Chat History tab

Click on New SmartChat™

Prompt Method

Navigate

Go to the desired Collection

Type

Enter your prompt in the prompt input box

Send

Hit send or press Enter

When you use the prompt input box method, a new SmartChat™ will be created in the Collection you’re currently in as soon as you send your prompt.

From an Existing SmartChat™

Branch new chats while maintaining Collection context:

Open Active Chat

Navigate to any existing SmartChat™

Initiate New Thread

Click Start new chat in header

Home Page Shortcut

Start conversations from anywhere in Storytell:

Focus

Press ⌘/Ctrl + K to open chat

Immediate Start

Type prompt and press Enter

Home Page chats default to your Personal Collection. Add files via drag-and-drop after creation.

Use Case Templates

Leverage pre-built workflows:

Choose from Work, Life, or Play categories on the home page then select a specific sub-category according to your use cases

SmartChats™ maintain Collection context unless specified otherwise

Automatic Naming

SmartChats™ are named after the first prompt or template title as chat name

New SmartChats™ inherit the parent Collection’s assets but start fresh conversation history.
