Viewing Your Knowledge

Navigate to a Collection

Go to the Collection where your files are stored.

Access the Assets tab

Within the Collection, click on the Stored Assets tab.

View your files

Here you’ll see all the files uploaded to this specific Collection.

Files are only visible in the Collection they were uploaded to. Each Collection has its own set of assets.

Uploading Files

Storytell offers multiple ways to upload files to your Collections. Choose the method that best suits your workflow:

Access the Assets tab

Navigate to your desired Collection and click on the Assets tab.

You have three options:

Uploaded files will appear in the Assets tab of the current Collection.

Uploading Web Content

Storytell allows you to easily add content from the web directly to your Collections. Here’s how to upload webpages and YouTube videos:

Open the upload modal

Open the upload modal from your Collection’s Stored Assets or by clicking on the Upload files (paperclip) button on the prompt input bar.

Select the URL tab

In the upload modal, click on From a website.

Enter the URL

Paste the webpage’s URL into the provided field.

Upload

Click the Upload button to process and add the web content to your current Collection.

URLs will not work with websites that require authentication.

Access your uploaded files from the Assets window

Open your Assets window

Navigate to your Assets to view all your uploaded files.

Locate the download button

Find and click the Download button associated with the desired file.

Access the file in a new tab

Clicking the Download button will open a new tab, where you can view and download your file.

Supported File Types

Storytell supports a wide range of file types, allowing you to upload and work with various documents, presentations, audio files, and more. Below is a list of the currently supported file types:

Word

.doc, .docx, .docm, .dotx, .dotm

PDF

.pdf

Text

.txt, .rtf, .md, .markdown

Presentation

.ppt, .pptx, .pptm, .ppsx, .potm, .potx

Spreadsheet

.csv, .xls, .xlsx, .numbers

OpenDocument

.odt, .ods, .odp, .odg
